In this video I was responsible for the crowd simulation. The crowd was generated in Anima , converted in Cinema 4D to Alembic and then linked again to Cinema. Concept, camera animation, texturing, lighting and post production was done by Kreukvrij.
Although we used the characters from Anima, we did not use the crowd control system. At the time of production, Anima was not capable of creating the animations that we wanted*, so we decided to create our own rigs.
I was asked by one of my Vimeo followers about the techniques we used and made a tutorial out of it.
*Please note that Anima was still at version 1 at the time. A lot has changed in later versions of this plug-in.
