Linden IT

Linden-IT, an employment agency for IT personal, wanted to promote their services. For this they needed a fast animation fast. By this I mean an animation for social media with the duration of just a few seconds. Also, they needed the animation in a very short timeframe to push a campaign.

For this animation we took the approach of using stock characters, but transformed them into unique ones by changing their outfit and adjusting the colors. We decided beforehand we would use traditional keyframe animations for the specific movements and motion capture for the walk cycles. Hence we used the build-in Cinema 4D character rig that can do both.

We kept the animation simple and literally clear by using transparent materials for the mobile devices and computers. This helped a lot when the viewer "reads" the character.

Now the fun thing about this animation is that it's a one shot. Literally the entire animation is one Cinema 4D file rendered in one go. You might know that having multiple character rigs in one file can slow down any 3D program significantly. Therefore the characters were animated in separate files and then exported to Alembic files, making the final render an easy-breezy affair.

The creation of this animation from idea to delivery only took one week. I am proud to say that this does not show in a lack of quality or detail.
